It seems like Paramount+ is one of the newest entrants but it's actually a bit of a rebranding for what was once the CBS All Access streaming service. In early 2021, it was decided that CBS All Access needed to be beefed up and include more than what was available on what many think of as a single channel.
And beefed up it was.
Compared to many other streaming services, the offerings of CBS All Access seemed light especially compared to the likes of HBO Max and Peacock. But when you package up with some of the other content available through ViacomCBS, you have yourself a bit more for the monthly fee.
It's not going to be on the level of Disney+ or other larger libraries but it will include some more television content that viewers will want like Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. When you add the movies from Paramount and MGM, you have yourself a contender.
How to Watch Paramount+ for Free
Paramount+ frequently offers a free month as a trial and the promotion code changes – right now you can use the promotion code DELACALLE to get 1 free month – we are not sure when this ends but will update it when it does.
They are also running a promotion where you can get 50% off your first year of Paramount+ if you use the promotion code YEAR. (also not sure when this ends)
At the end of the trial, expect to be billed the prevailing rate for the service.

What Comes With Paramount+?
Paramount+ is an expansion of CBS All Access and includes programming from CBS, BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures, etc. It also will include all the CBS streaming originals like The Stand, Why Women Kill, Star Trek: Discovery, and The Good Fight.
It also includes a live stream component that includes a lot of sports through your local CBS affiliate, CBSN, CBS Sports HQ, and ET Live.
How Much Does Paramount+ Cost?
Paramount+ has two subscription plans:
Limited Commercials costs $5.99 per month or $59.99 per year. People say that the commercials aren't any longer than other services, like Peacock, and are approximately 15-90 seconds long with about 2-3 per thirty-minute episode.
Commercial Free costs $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year.
If you are watching live streams, you may still get commercials when you are on the Commercial Free plan.
If you are a student, you can get 25% off.
Is Paramount+ Worth It?
It depends on how much you enjoy their programming and how it fits with your other streaming providers. If you want to get their exclusive content, then $5.99 per month is cheap. If you are comparing it to other streaming libraries, the price is inexpensive but the content may not be as broad.
Another thing to consider is that this streaming service may be something you subscribe to when you want to binge some shows and then cancel once you are done. All of these options are often cheaper than paying for an “all you can eat” cable package anyway!
