What is it? Swagbucks is a GPT (get-paid-to) website that has been around since 2008. The company has paid out over $650M to members to date. 

How to Earn: When you join Swagbucks (it’s free to join), you can earn points, called Swagbucks, in several ways. Some of the tasks you can do to earn points include:

  • Watching videos
  • Taking surveys
  • Playing games
  • Discovering deals

You can also earn SB by shopping online. The site shares valuable coupon codes that give you cash back when shopping online through the Swagbucks portal. You can shop at thousands of online stores through the Swagbucks portal. 

Payout Time: Within a couple of days

Swagbucks says you can redeem your points as soon as you’ve earned at least 300 SB, which is equivalent to $3. Note that each reward option will have different points balance requirements. For instance, the PayPal cash reward might have a higher minimum balance requirement than other rewards.

3. Fiverr

What is it? Fiverr is a website where you can do various online jobs and get paid $5 up to $10,000, depending on the job. You choose the types of jobs you’ll do and your rate for each job.

How to Earn: You start by creating a profile on the Fiverr site. You’ll include your skills, experience, and the rate you charge. Some of the talents Fiverr clients will pay for include:

  • Graphic design work
  • Artwork
  • Musical talents
  • Freelance writing
  • Video editing
  • Voiceover work
  • IT skills

You get the drift. As people request you to help them, you decide which jobs you will and won’t take. As you complete assignments, buyers give ratings to your profile page, which can help you earn more clients. The more ratings you have, the higher you’ll go in the Fiverr search ranks.

Fiverr transfers the money you’ve earned to your Fiverr account after you have completed the job. From there, you can transfer the funds to your PayPal account.

What is it? PrizeRebel, like Swagbucks, is a GPT site. The site launched in 2007 and has paid over $20 million to members.

How to Earn: There are several ways you can earn points with PrizeRebel. Some of the tasks PrizeRebel will pay you for completing include:

  • Taking surveys
  • Entering promo codes
  • Completing offers
  • Watching videos

You can also earn points by referring friends to sign up for PrizeRebel. Note that there are “levels” you can achieve simply by being active on the site. Each level you achieve results in additional benefits and rewards, such as faster payout times. 

Payout Time: Within 24 hours

The number of points you need to earn to be eligible to redeem your points varies based on the prize you choose. You can choose to get PayPal cash or gift cards from any number of PrizeRebel’s partner retailers.

5. MyPoints

What is it? MyPoints is a cash back shopping portal that will give you up to 40% back on purchases when you shop online through the portal. MyPoints is owned by Prodege, which also owns Swagbucks and several other GPT and cash back shopping sites. 

How to Earn: Once you sign up with MyPoints, you must complete your online shopping orders through the MyPoints portal.

MyPoints will credit your account with points equal to the cash back amount agreed upon by the partner store. You can also earn MyPoints by completing online surveys and referring friends. 

Payout Time: Within five business days

Note that the minimum cashout for points as of this writing is 480. That number may vary based on how you choose to redeem your rewards and other factors.  

Along with choosing to get PayPal cash, you can use your points to get gift cards from various retail establishments.

6. Pinecone Research

What is it? Pinecone Research is a market research firm that has been in business since 1998. This company is a bit more exclusive than other market research firms in that not everyone will be accepted. 

How to Earn: The primary way to earn money with Pinecone Research is by participating in surveys. Each survey takes roughly 15-20 minutes, and you’ll make $3 to $5 per survey. You can also earn money with Pinecone Research by testing products on an invite-only basis. 

The company also holds twice-weekly sweepstakes drawings in which you could be a winner. Every time you complete a survey, you gain an automatic entry into the upcoming sweepstakes draw. 

Payout Time: 3-5 business days

The minimum threshold for cashing out through PayPal is just $1. Other cashout options include virtual prepaid debit cards and a check mailed to your home.

What is it? InboxDollars is a GPT site that has been in operation since the year 2000 and has paid out over $80 million in cash rewards. Members of the site help influence the development of future products and services by completing activities on the site.

What is it? Receipt Hog will reward you for turning in your receipts, regardless of where you shop or what you buy. The information Receipt Hog gains from your receipts are used for market research purposes to help companies better understand geographic shopping preferences. 

How to Earn: When shopping in-store, snap a picture of your receipt, and Receipt Hog will reward you. Upload a copy of your digital ticket to earn your rewards if you’re shopping online. 

Note that once you’ve snapped a photo of your receipt, Receipt Hog will ask you a couple of questions about your shopping experience. You’ll need to answer those questions before you’re eligible for your points. 

Payout Time: Within seven days

You need to have earned a minimum of 1,000 coins before you can cash out with PayPal or any other avenue. One thousand coins will get you a $5 reward.

9. Shopkick

What is it? Shopkick is a shopping rewards program that launched in 2009. The program has paid over $85 million to its members so far.

How to Earn: Shopkick helps you earn points (called “kicks”) for various activities. For instance, you can earn when you shop in-store by scanning barcodes of products requested by the Shopkick app.

If you choose to purchase the items you scan, you can earn even more kicks. However, you’re never required to buy the items. You can make kicks by walking into some stores or scanning your receipts. Payout Time: Within a few hours

When you reach 1250 “kicks,” you’ll earn a $5 PayPal gift card. You can also use your kicks to choose from a range of specified retailers.

10. Rakuten

What is it? Rakuten was one of the first companies to offer cash back shopping bonuses. The company launched in 1997 and has paid out over $1 billion in rewards.

How to Earn: With Rakuten, you earn a cash back percentage when you shop online at any of the company’s 3,500+ retailer partners. 

Depending on the retailer, you could earn up to 40% cash back on your purchase. All you have to do is make sure you access the retailer’s website through the Rakuten portal. 

Rakuten will tell you how much cash back you’ll earn before purchasing.

Note that if you need to leave the site before you complete your purchase, you’ll have to re-enter the Rakuten portal before you complete your purchase. 

Payout Time: Every three months 

Rakuten will automatically send your PayPal money to your PayPal account quarterly. You don’t need to do a thing.

What is it? HealthyWage is a company that develops wellness challenges for people who want to lose weight. You can participate individually, as a team, or in a corporate challenge. 

How to Earn: You start by going to the HealthyWage website and using the prize calculator to help you decide which type of challenge is best for you.

You enter the amount of weight you want to lose, how much money you’re willing to wager that you’ll meet your goal and the amount of time you need to reach your goal.

HealthyWage has several challenges; jackpot challenges, step challenges, and more. Your monthly wager amount goes toward the winning prize amount. If you meet your goal, you’ll win what you paid in. If not, you’ll lose your money. 

Payout Time: 2 to 5 business days

Note that if you choose a different payout method besides PayPal, it will take 1 to 3 weeks to get your payment.

12. Decluttr

What is it? Declutter will buy your unwanted cell phones, DVDs, CDs, electronics, textbooks, video games, gaming systems, and more right on the spot. 

How to Earn: Just go to the Decluttr website and enter the information about the items you want to sell. You’ll enter different details depending on the type of item you wish to sell.

For instance, for cell phones, you’ll enter the type of phone, GB of memory; for textbooks, the ISBNs; and for CDs and DVDs, the barcode numbers. 

Decluttr will give you immediate offer prices for every item you enter. You choose to accept or decline the offers. If you accept the offers and mail the items, you can print the free pre-paid shipping label Decluttr sends you. 

Decluttr will assess the items once they arrive at the warehouse, checking to ensure everything is as described. Then they’ll send you a PayPal deposit for the agreed-upon amount.

Payout Time: The following business day

Decluttr will send your PayPal payment one business day after it verifies the content of your order.

13. Scrambly

What is it? Scrambly is a testing ground for brands that are seeking consumer feedback. Users can answer surveys, test out apps and games, and sign up for free products and services.

How to Earn: Once you register with Scrambly, you can then browse the offers available. Each offer varies in how much it will pay out, but with all of them, you’ll be rewarded with “Scramble Coins” that you can redeem for cash back or gift cards.

You can cash out with just $1 to PayPal (and cash out as much as you want), and use your rewards for gift cards with Google Play, Apple, Spotify, and Walmart. You can also redeem your Scramble Coins through Visa or Amazon.

You’ll need a Google account to sign up for Scrambly, and the app itself is only available on Google Play. However, once you’re registered, there are options for testing apps on iOS and desktop.

The amount you can earn with Scrambly really depends on how much time you want to put into it. The website says you could make anywhere from $50 to over $1,000 per month if you treat it as a proper side hustle.

Payout Time: You can cash out as little as $1 instantly after completing an offer.

However, note that Scrambly itself does not make the payout — the advertiser running the offer does. As such, Scrambly says in their terms and conditions that they don’t take any responsibility if a brand is late to pay or refuses to pay.
