You can also earn points when you take the Swagbucks daily poll, invite your friends to join, or buy gift cards through the Swagbucks website.
Each SB you earn is only worth $.01. However, the points can add up quickly, especially if you do a lot of online shopping. As you accumulate points, they can be transferred to your PayPal account as cash.
You can also redeem your points for various gift cards from popular retailers. Anyone 13 and over is eligible to join Swagbucks. Learn more in our Swagbucks review.
2. Ibotta
Ibotta pays you to shop at its partner stores in person and online, and you’ll receive a $10 bonus when you spend your first $30 within the app.
Here’s how it works. The Ibotta app displays offers from various stores. For example, you might get $1 off of a particular brand of sour cream or off of any brand of bread.
Once you add the offer to your Ibotta shopping list, you’re halfway there. After you purchase the item, submit a photo of your receipt via the app, and your Ibotta account will be credited for the savings within 24 hours.
Deals are categorized by retailers such as Walmart or Target, and you can filter by grocery section as well, such as health and beauty or produce.
Shopping online with the Ibotta app works a bit differently. Just access the store you want to shop at through the Ibotta portal, and you can get up to 30% of your purchase back in cash.
You can also earn bonuses with Ibotta to get even more money. Bonuses are awarded in three different ways: Brand or category-specific, non-specific, and referral bonus.
Ibotta partners with thousands of retailers. See the Ibotta website for more information on bonuses, earnings, and more.

7. Rakuten
Rakuten is a cash back shopping site that will pay you $10 when you sign up and spend at least $25 on your first purchase.
Here’s how the site works. After you sign up, log in to your Rakuten account. From there, you can use the Rakuten portal to access over 3,000 online retailers.
When you visit a retailer through Rakuten and purchase items from that retailer, you’ll earn the specified amount of cash back from that retailer.
Each Rakuten retail partner offers different cash back percentages. As of this writing, some examples include:
- 8% cash back at Adidas
- 4% cash back at Old Navy
- 10% at Dell Technologies online
- Up to 8% cash back at Sam’s Club
- 10% cash back at Bloomingdale’s online
Many other retailers partner with Rakuten.
Note that you have to complete your purchase during the session you started through the Rakuten portal. If you don’t, you won’t earn your cash back. For more details, check out our full Rakuten review.
Bonus: When you refer a friend to Rakuten, and they sign up using your referral code, you’ll earn cash back on that referral. Rakuten will pay you $30 for every friend you refer who signs up with your referral code once they spend their first $30 on the site.
8. TopCashback
TopCashback is a cash back shopping site that will give you a $10 bonus when you sign up as a new customer and make your first purchase through the portal.
As with Rakuten, you need to access the stores through the TopCashback portal. When you add items to your cart and complete your purchase all in the same session, you’ll earn the cash back amount specified by the specific store you’re shopping at.
Unlike some sites that take a cut of the cash back earnings, TopCashback credits you with the full cash back paid by the retailer.
It takes approximately seven days for TopCashBack to credit your account. You can then withdraw your earnings via PayPal or a transfer to your bank account.
Like Rakuten, TopCashback has a referral program. When you refer a friend who signs up with your designated referral code and that friend earns at least $10 in cash back, you’ll get a $10 bonus awarded to your account.

BeFrugal works similarly to Rakuten and TopCashback. It’s a cash back shopping site that will pay you when you shop online through the BeFrugal portal.

In order to qualify for the $10 sign up bonus, you need to earn $10 or more in payable cash back when you shop.
When you do, your bonus will be credited to your account. You can receive your earned cash back via PayPal, direct deposit, Venmo, Zelle, or receive a gift card with your earnings.
